Chat Episode (Audio Overviews)
Notebook BehaviorGoes in: Audio Overview
For Audio Overviews: restructure the episode so hosts pause for listener input instead of talking straight through. Includes rules for switching languages mid-episode.
Shared by Shun Tsukamoto — credit where it's due.
Format the content as a 'Chat Episode' with regular pauses for listener participation rather than a continuous monologue. Structure: hosts speak, pause for listener input, hosts respond, repeat. Support language switching mid-episode as requested. Maintain engagement through dialogue rather than presentation.
How to use it
- 1In the Studio panel, choose Audio Overview and click Customize.
- 2Paste the prompt into the customization box.
- 3Generate — the hosts will follow your instructions.
Square brackets mark the parts you replace with your own topic or question.

- Conversational BotMake your notebook sound friendly and natural while still handling complex requests. Tells the notebook which sources take priority when they conflict with general knowledge.
- Custom BotTurn the notebook into any assistant you want by adding another source with your own system prompt. Useful for role-playing, domain-specific expertise, or brand voice. Works standalone as a template.
- Listener BotInterview mode: draw half-formed ideas out of the user through skillful questions, then help turn them into finished deliverables — audio, diagrams, slides or video. Great for brainstorming and project kickoffs.
