Law & governmentfree + paid

Subscription research service for case law, statutes, and news archives. Export documents as PDFs to bring vetted legal sources into a notebook.

LexisNexis is one of the two services most US legal practice runs on, so documents pulled from it — case law, statutes, news archives — carry the same weight a practicing lawyer would put on them. That makes it a strong source for a notebook that needs citations a legal audience would recognize as legitimate. There's no free tier to speak of, so a notebook built on it depends on institutional or paid access, unlike Justia or Google Scholar.
