Catalog and lending arm of the Internet Archive — useful for finding which editions exist and where.

It catalogs which editions of a book exist, their ISBNs, and whether a scanned or lendable copy is available through the Internet Archive, which makes it a good first stop when you're not sure which edition of an older book to source. It's built for discovery and lending more than for supplying importable text itself. Once you've found the right edition here, the full text usually comes from Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks or a library loan.
