Every US public company filing — 10-Ks and 10-Qs make excellent grounded sources for company research.

A 10-K is a company describing its own business, risks and financials under legal obligation, which makes it a stronger grounding source than a news article summarizing the same numbers. Reading several years of filings side by side shows how a company's own account of its risks shifted before an event, not just after. The filings are written by lawyers for compliance, long and repetitive by design, so a notebook built around one benefits from pulling out the sections that changed year over year.
