CDC's own datasets on US public-health topics export cleanly as CSV, and pairing a specific dataset with the CDC's fact sheet on the same topic gives a notebook both the numbers and the plain-language explanation behind them. It's US-focused and some datasets update on a lag, so it isn't the place for real-time outbreak tracking.
