Nature covers research across all of science with a mix of peer-reviewed papers and its own news and commentary desk, useful for a notebook that needs both the primary finding and context on its significance. News articles and many features import freely; the original research papers are usually paywalled unless the authors chose open access. That split matters for a notebook, since news coverage of a finding can sometimes be added even when the paper behind it can't.
