Umbrella for PubMed, MedlinePlus, and vast biomedical collections. Start here to find authoritative health sources worth importing.
NLM is the umbrella behind PubMed, MedlinePlus, and several other biomedical databases, so it's a reasonable starting point when you're not sure which NIH resource has what you need. A health-research notebook can use MedlinePlus for plain-language background and PubMed for the underlying studies. NLM itself is mostly a portal, so most notebook sources will come from the specific databases it links to rather than the NLM site itself.
