The US archive of climate, ocean, and geophysical records. Monthly climate reports and station data exports ground climate-trend notebooks in real numbers.
NCEI holds the official US archive of climate and weather station records, some going back over a century, plus ocean and geophysical data. A climate-trend notebook gains more credibility citing NCEI's monthly climate reports and station data than citing a news summary of the same trend. Station data exports can be technical to work with directly, so the summary reports and State of the Climate releases are usually the more notebook-friendly entry point.
