With searchable records from historical events through near real-time, this catalog answers questions about seismic activity in a region, magnitude trends over time, or the details of one particular quake. Filtering by date, magnitude, and location and exporting results as CSV makes it straightforward to build a notebook around actual event data. It combines USGS's own network with international reporting, part of why it's treated as the standard reference for earthquake data.
